The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the maintenance department inventory and documentation as well as CMMS management and MRO purchasing.
Will assist Maintenance Department and Operations by providing direction and/or coordination of activities related to Maintenance associates and contractors engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, equipment, and maintenance of building, grounds, and utility systems.
Fully supports operational teams.
This is an hourly non-exempt position which may require 10% travel.
MRO Purchasing:
Order materials for machine repairs and projects, as well as cycle counting of critical spare parts.
Inventory and reordering for consumable production items.
Receive materials into system for invoice processing.
Reconciliation of orders/charges.
Communicate with vendors and contractors.
Receive and put incoming materials away.
Notify colleagues of requested items received.
Package items to send out for repair.
Other MRO purchasing as required.
CMMS administration:
Process Repair Work Orders.
Process Preventative Maintenance (PM) Work Orders.
Update PM tasks and schedules using information supplied by technicians.
Generate reports.
Random audit completed work orders.
Analyze data from CMMS for root cause projects.
Advanced understanding and upkeep of CMMS system.
Kit materials for upcoming jobs.
Continuous Improvement:
Assist with 5S of the maintenance shop, office, and storeroom areas.
Develop critical spare parts lists with input from maintenance and engineering colleagues.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of Industrial Manufacturing Equipment Repair Parts & Materials.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and relay information accurately and in a timely manner.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
Possession of strong administration skills and ability to multi-task.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete on a timely basis.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret instructions, policies, and procedures.
Ability to organize and perform work efficiently, strong attention to details.
Education and
Experience:
At a minimum, High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
2- or 4-year engineering or manufacturing degree and / or equivalent experience a plus.
1 to 3yrs previous industry related work experience in heavy industrial manufacturing maintenance department.
Parts Room and Purchasing experience a plus.
Computer knowledge is required including skilled in Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
