Founded in 2005, Pitch In For Baseball & Softball & Softball & Softball (PIFBS) helps give the gift of play and contributes to positive youth development by removing equipment as the barrier to play to children around the world.
PIFBS secures both new and gently used baseball and softball equipment from manufacturing partners and fans of the game and distribute equipment grants to help give all kids the chance to play ball.
PIFBS works with partners including Major League Baseball, about a dozen MLB club teams, Little League, Players Trust, and Wilson Sporting Goods to ensure that resources get to the kids who need the support the most.
Over the past 18
years, PIFBS has expanded programming and partnerships to help more than 1.
2 million children play ball in every state in the U.
S.
and more than 110 countries internationally.
PIFBS achieves our mission through the following:
Domestic and International Grants, Disaster Relief, School-Based Programs, and special Partner Initiatives.
In 2022, PIFBS supported more than 650 organizations with equipment, helping nearly 150,000 children play ball.
POSITION Overview:
On an annual basis, there is about a 50/50 split of Partner Initiatives (managed by the COO with funding for projects with new equipment) and Domestic and International Grants (blend of new and used equipment).
This position will oversee and manage all aspects of PIFBS' Domestic and International Grants and impact report processes.
This person will work closely with the COO and Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator to manage equipment inventory and fulfill equipment grants/partner projects.
The primary areas of responsibility include:
? Overseeing all Domestic and International grants including vetting applications, communication with applicants, allocating equipment grants, working with the Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator to complete packing and shipping logistics, and securing required reporting from grantees.
? Managing impact report submissions - including strategies to increase response rate, identifying quality impact stories, refining the report process, updating content for the website.
DESIRED SKILLS:
This position manages about 300 grants, requiring external communication.
This person must possess the following skills:

Manage Domestic and International Grants, including communications with applicants, reviewing equipment grant applications, vetting for eligibility, making allocation decisions, shipping logistics, and reporting.
Develop and implement strategies to increase response rate and quality of content from impact reports.
Review and update all application and report forms annually for continuous improvement Manage all aspects of the Operations Intern Program (recruitment, supervision, reporting) Attend equipment distribution events as needed Attend outreach/community events on PIFBS' behalf when appropriate Assist with inventory day preparation and day-of management of volunteers Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the operations related duties of this job the individual should be able to:

Close vision and manual dexterity are required to access data utilizing a computer SPECIAL SKILLS:
Forklift certification upon hire (obtained once on-site) Spanish speaking (optional, would be a nice bonus) Familiarity with inventory systems (optional) Familiarity with warehouse operations (optional) REQUIREMENTS:
? Bachelors degree required ? Must have a minimum of one year of experience working in an office setting ? Excellent written and oral communication skills ? Excellent interpersonal skills ?
