$88,103 to $105,616 Please See Attached for Full Job Description Job Goal To Improve Academic Achievement for all District elementary students by providing leadership and assistance in the areas of curriculum development and implementation, professional development and assessment.
Essential Functions 1.
Serve as a member of of the Superintendent's Extended Cabinet 2.
Attends Board Meetings.
3.
Prepare updates and presentations for the Education committee on matters related to Elementary Teaching and Learning.
4.
Oversees Elementary curriculum, staff development, instructional improvement, and assessment strategies.
5.
Designs and oversees the implementation of the district's elementary curriculum scope and sequence within each grade, across disciplines, and from grade to grade.
6.
Consistent with district policies and procedures on evaluating and adopting new curriculum, recommends the adoption and oversees the implementation of new Elementary curriculum materials to the Superintendent.
7.
Analyzes test data and provides guidance on how to improve student outcomes and makes recommendations for program changes.
Assists in the development of school Improvement plans, comprehensive planning, and the use of Federal funds.
8.
Assists with the design and implementation of the district's in-service training and professional development programs.
Assists with the formulation and implementation of induction.
Provides a variety of professional development opportunities to assist educators in updating information and implementing new skills.
Plans, implements and evaluates professional development projects related to Pennsylvania Standards.
9.
Observes tenured and non-tenured Elementary teachers and evaluates and makes recommendations for changes in instructional methodologies and strategies.
Works with department heads, building administrators, and individuals to create professional development plans Attachment(s):
